Vocals, Percussion – Carrie
Carrie joined Paper Jam in 2011. Her love of music was first influenced by her father. He had a dance band in the 1970s. Her earliest memories were going to bed at night with the bedroom door rattling while her dad’s band practiced in the living room. Later on, his music was over her bedroom and he’d compose music after supper until late into the night.
Professionally trained, she had a broad taste in music but her first love was rock and roll. Her influences include Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Ethridge, Janis Joplin, Sheryl Crow, Pink, Etta James, Gwen Stefani, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Nicks, Shania Twain, Pat Benetar, Natasha Bedingfield, Nichole Nordeman, and Christina Aguilera and groups like INXS, Heart and Bon Jovi.
Carrie also handles marketing and public relations for Party Line.
Lead Guitar and Vocals – Joe
Born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Joe has been part of the western Arkansas music scene for more than five decades. A self-taught guitarist and pianist, his musical journey nearly ended at age 13 after a serious hand injury threatened his ability to play—but determination and a little encouragement brought him back.
Over the years, Joe has performed with numerous regional acts, shared the stage for several years with a young Carrie Underwood, and opened for artists including Doug Stone and Ronnie Milsap.
Influenced by players such as Larry Carlton, Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Steve Lukather, and Brian May, Joe brings a style shaped by Arkansas roots, decades of experience, and a lifelong love of making music.
Today, he continues to perform, record, and collaborate—still bringing the same heart and determination to every stage.
Drums – Chris
Born in Bedford, Texas, Chris started Started playing music in middle school where he played Saxaphone and drummed as a hobby. He is married with 2 children.
He moved to Bella Vista, AR in 2018 where his love for music was resparked wit his family and joined the band in 2024!
Russ – Bass and Vocals
Russ has been playing music for more than six decades, which means he’s been making noise since before some of his guitars were even invented. Born and raised in Arkansas, Russ proudly describes himself as a rocking hillbilly—and he has the musical credentials to back it up!
When he’s not picking, strumming, sliding, or otherwise figuring out how to make another instrument make noise, Russ runs a manufacturing company in Bentonville, Arkansas. He has also been married for more than 30 years, has three kids and five grandkids.
Russ’s musical tastes cover everything from bluegrass and folk to alternative Christian rock. He plays guitar, bass, dobro, and pedal steel guitar, proving that one instrument was apparently just not enough to keep him out of trouble.
After more than 60 years of making music, Russ is still doing what he loves—playing, performing, and proudly keeping the rocking hillbilly spirit alive. And as long as somebody plugs in an amp or hands him an instrument, chances are Russ will find a way to join in!

Rhythm Guitar and Keyboards – Tom
Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio enabled him to have access to major groups, concerts, musicians and musical opportunities during the birth of Rock and Roll.
Groups like the Beatles, Beach Boys, Eagles, Kinks, The Choir, The James Gang, music from the Summer Of Love, Woodstock and so many more frequented the Cleveland area and helped form the musical background he now possesses. He started playing in a band – like everyone else – in the mid 60’s but hung it up for other things until he had the opportunity to join Party Line.
