Vocals, Percussion – Carrie
Carrie joined Paper Jam in 2011. Her love of music was first influenced by her father. He had a dance band in the 1970s. Her earliest memories were going to bed at night with the bedroom door rattling while her dad’s band practiced in the living room. Later on, his music was over her bedroom and he’d compose music after supper until late into the night.
Professionally trained, she had a broad taste in music but her first love was rock and roll. Her influences include Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Ethridge, Janis Joplin, Sheryl Crow, Pink, Etta James, Gwen Stefani, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Nicks, Shania Twain, Pat Benetar, Natasha Bedingfield, Nichole Nordeman, and Christina Aguilera and groups like INXS, Heart and Bon Jovi.
Carrie also handles marketing and public relations for Party Line.
Lead Guitar and Bass – Michael
Michael Young’s musical ambitions began at a young age when he learned playing piano at the age of 6. He continued on with his musical aspirations when he played in the Central Junior High band and Springdale High School.
He was an All-State Saxophonist three times and was awarded a music scholarship to attend the University of Arkansas, studying music, and was a proud member of the Marching Razorback Band from 1999 to 2000. His career path took a turn after the events that led up to September 11th, 2001.
Michael is excited to share with others around him his compassion for music and collaboration amongst his peers.
The Party Line Band has been a great experience and hope that other’s will share our band’s theme of just kicking back and having fun, enjoying the moment, and sharing great memories with your loved ones around you.
Drums – Chris
Born in Bedford, Texas, Chris started Started playing music in middle school where he played Saxaphone and drummed as a hobby. He is married with 2 children.
He moved to Bella Vista, AR in 2018 where his love for music was resparked wit his family and joined the band in 2024!
Rhythm Guitar and Keyboards – Tom
Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio enabled him to have access to major groups, concerts, musicians and musical opportunities during the birth of Rock and Roll.
Groups like the Beatles, Beach Boys, Eagles, Kinks, The Choir, The James Gang, music from the Summer Of Love, Woodstock and so many more frequented the Cleveland area and helped form the musical background he now possesses. He started playing in a band – like everyone else – in the mid 60’s but hung it up for other things until he had the opportunity to join Party Line.
